IMHR MEMBERSHIP
Membership to IMHR is open to all persons with an interest in MIniature Horses. It is a condition of membership to comply with the IMHR Constitution and Show Rules plus any directive of the IMHR Committee. All memberships must be approved by the National Committee.
You may join as a single membership (one vote) or family membership (one vote). The family membership includes parents and all children. Please ensure all children that may attend shows or own horses are included on the form. All members must pay the compulsory joining fee and you must be a member of IMHR to have a horse registered in your name.

Membership Includes:
- Registration and transfer / lease privileges
- Access to the IMHR Bulletin Board
- Regular Email Updates for members with email addresses
- Free listing on the Breeders List on the website
- Access to IMHR promotions such as Horse Deals and the IMHR Calendar
- IMHR CD containing all current forms and National Show information
If you intend to breed miniature horses, you will need to register a STUD PREFIX with IMHR. This is free and is included on the membership form.
You may nominate this later if you are not breeding at this stage. Your stud prefix must be unique and cannot be one currently used by another member.
Please note that other registries (including non-miniature organisations) may also have a list of stud prefixes and that you may find it in use by another breeder. IMHR can only provide the list of prefixes currently registered with us.
You should also provide your brand description (if you have one) and it will be scanned and included on the list of known brands. You brand would also need to be registered with your local Rural Lands Protection Board.
